ONE RIVER STORY:
/Bohemian Soundscape for 6 Laptops/

Composed for Endliche Automaten / Laptoporchester Berlin

The free soundart parapraze on the romantic „anthem“ (symphonic poem) My Country - part The Vltava by great czech composer Bedřich Smatana. It is done on the basis of field-recordings and cencrete sounds of water element (stream, rain, cascade, kettle, brook, stone dropped in water, stream, rain, snow, pipeline, river, waves on the sea ...) and some main motives from original music piece like the old czech folk-song: „Cat is crawling the hole“. Conception of the composition is interpretation of a course and a changeable atmosphere of the river and near surrounding (as well as original artwork) but with the help of contemporary technological methods and non-musical sourses of sound.

Progression of the composition:
1: From the spring throught a small stream (natural landscape)
2: Slow gradation (rain, drops, country motives...) to wilde stream of the large river.
3: After „golden section“ (in 8 min) the river comes to the civilization (sound of the city, noise of cars, pop music...)

Here is usage of particular laptops:
LAPTOP1: The river stream
LAPTOP2: Smetana´s main motives
LAPTOP3: Water beats
LAPTOP4: Water sounds
LAPTOP5: Natural landscape
LAPTOP6: Civilization landscape

EALO can every separate line (sample) modulate (effect, pan, volume) according their own consideration and feelings but the main idea of the river story should be stay the same.
It is able use some other sounds of nature or civilization noises but only in line the progression (1-3)

Equipments: 6 laptops
Total time: 12:20 min.
